Energy crisis and environmental protection: the need to accelerate towards production and supply systems from RES.

The planet is facing the first global energy crisis. The humanity as a whole has had to deal with an objective limit to the system of production that is still dominant to this day. The sustainability of the entire supply model has been questioned. Of course we must consider that the systems and lifestyles of evolved societies are by their very nature energy-intensive. The complexity and extent of the shock we had, reminded us that the more energy independent a company is, the more it is free from external conditioning. To this we have to add the issue of environmental protection. An issue that not only affects current generations, but also involves all future generations. To ensure the sustainability of human growth and evolution, it is necessary to reformulate and reconsider the entire production system from a green perspective. The strength and frequency of climate events that we are observing, as well as the data that scientific communities disseminate, show us that human activities are responsible for the climate crisis. It seems that summer 2022 was the hottest in history in Europe. According to the WWF, on July has been recorded a temperature 2.26 degrees Celsius higher than the Italian average since 1800 (the year from which the data is recorded). There are also other very worrying signs in the atmosphere of our planet: compared to pre-industrial levels, the concentration of carbon dioxide has increased by almost 150%, methane by 262% and nitrous oxide by 123%.

The solution is not to stop producing and consuming, but to find energy sources capable of not negatively impacting the environment.

We need to use clean energy.

RES (Renewable Energy Sources) are capable of significantly reducing polluting emissions and supporting growth and development without damaging the Earth.
It is no coincidence that governments are taking long-term measures to accelerate the deployment of renewable energy. Annual investments of over 2000 Billion dollars are planned with an increase of over 50% compared to current levels. That the issue is to be addressed globally is confirmed by the fact that it is estimated that a third of global current demand will come from China in 2025, meanwhile more than half from Asia. Luckily, according to the "World Energy Outlook 2022", a report prepared by the IEA, the appearance of clean energy will decrease the demand for natural gas and oil by 20% and the demand for coal by 50% by 2030. The study shows that electricity demand will grow by an average of 3% per year over the next 3 years and on the supply side, clean sources will rise, surpassing coal as the first global energy source.

Building an eco-sustainable future is possible by exploiting Solar Energy.
